Tamara Seeley’s pop/rock vocals & vulnerable songwriting has seen her compared to the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Hayley Willams, Sia, Carrie Underwood & Rachel Platten. Tamara’s high energy shows and down to earth nature makes her listeners feel like they have known her for years. Tamara’s music will take you on a journey with power pop anthems like ‘Brave Together’ and ‘Gold Armour’. The haunting piano ballad ‘Visiting Hours in Heaven’ will have you reaching for your tissues. Tamara is not afraid to be honest & vulnerable in her songwriting. This tomboy sports lover turn singer/songwriter from rural South Australia is not your average ‘Pop’ artist.
Tamara Seeley is a seasoned Vocalist / Writer who throughout the past 10 years has supported award winning artists like Hoobastank and Toploader in front of thousands at Doha’s Big Day Out. She has also performed alongside Australian Idol runner-up Shannon Noll and sung back-up vocals for multi-platinum selling award winning English band Right Said Fred in the UK. In 2012 Tamara released her first single ‘Release Me’ whilst performing in Doha on the international cover band circuit. ‘Release Me’ sparked a collaboration with world renowned dance techno DJ/ Producers Paul Mendez & Sammy B to write the hit single ‘Feel The Rush’. The track ‘Feel The Rush’ was a success on the label DOS or Die Records and it was heavily featured on numerous dance compilation albums and remains popular. After 7 years living and performing across the globe Tamara returned to Australia and focused on releasing her debut EP. Tamara is the definition of DIY.
In 2014 her Kickstarter campaign became the largest funded music project in South Australia. Once funded she spent 12 months honing in on her artistry, working with top producers/songwriters in Los Angeles and Australia. From this her debut 5 track EP ‘Gold Armour’ was born. In March 2015 she launched Gold Armour at a live concert in Mount Gambier including streaming online to fans and Kickstarter supporters around the world. After a successful launch Tamara was ready to spread her wings and promote herself in the USA & Canada. Over an 8 month period Tamara performed and collaborated with musicians, producers and songwriters. Tamara reached out to many radio stations and is now regularly played on Indie Stations across the USA. Tamara performed at the Republic of Pie Los Angeles, Pianos New York and the iconic Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. 2015 was also the year that she was a semifinalist for Unsigned Only for her original track ‘Brave Together’, the only South Australian to make the cut.
Tamara has returned to Mount Gambier in South Australia and is busy working on new material for a single release for Christmas 2016. Recently she was event promoter/artist for the Winter Sessions Series at the Mount Gambier Rail lands. These events were a huge success and a first of its kind in the region. For the final show Tamara managed to secure Sarah Mcleod from the SuperJesus as the headline act. Tamara was the main support act along with three other local artists. Tamara has a genuine passion for the regional arts and is determined to create more pathways for local musicians. In giving back to her rural community she is mentoring young artists. With new music being written, Tamara has some exciting times ahead!
